Vikingemuseet Fyrkat
Kom helt tæt på vikingetiden på Fyrkat, der er en af Danmarks fem ringborge.
Fyrkatborgen blev opført i 980 under Kong Harald Blåtand. Ingen af de oprindelige ringborge findes i dag, men på Fyrkat markerer en jordvold, hvor ringborgen omkransede de oprindelige 16 langhuse. Husenes beliggenhed er i dag markeret med hvide sten. Umiddelbart uden for borgen er et af langhusene rekonstrueret.
I umiddelbar nærhed af Fyrkatborgen ligger vikingegården, der består af ni rekonstruerede huse, som tilsammen udgør en stormandsgård, som man kender den fra Harald Blåtands tid. Både beboelseshuse og værksteder, blandt andet smedjen, er opført af egetømmer med lerklinede vægge og stråtag. Sommeren igennem er der på udvalgte dage aktiviteter på vikingegården, hvor man også finder besøgscenter, museumsbutik og en mytologisk legeplads.

The ticket portal is new, and we are working on including all Danish museums. Right now, you can purchase tickets for the museums you see here, but we hope that in the future, you’ll be able to buy tickets for even more museums.
