Nørre Vosborg
A Cultural Landmark in West Jutland
Step inside this 700-year-old manor and experience history up close. Surrounded by moats and double ramparts, the four-winged, whitewashed main building rises from the West Jutland landscape – a place where the past can still be felt.
In 2008, the manor reopened its doors after several years of extensive restoration. Today, you are welcomed by fresh flowers in the beautiful manor rooms, where a journey through the site’s history and stories awaits. Explore the rooms, take a look into the old dungeon, and imagine life as it once was. In the 19th century, several notable guests visited Nørre Vosborg – among them Hans Christian Andersen, who found peace here to write, create paper cuttings, and let his imagination wander – not least inspired by the manor’s many ghost stories.
Outside the manor, walking trails invite you to explore Vosborg Meadows – an area that in 2024 was restored from drained farmland back to its original landscape, with shallow lakes, open meadows, and rich birdlife.

Here you’ll find a wealth of great stories in the form of guides, podwalks, and treasure hunts for a variety of museums, visitor centers, castles, nature parks, and the like.
The ticket portal is new, and we are working on including all Danish museums. Right now, you can purchase tickets for the museums you see here, but we hope that in the future, you’ll be able to buy tickets for even more museums.
