Cisternerne is part of the Frederiksberg Museums. Here, you can experience a water reservoir, dripstone cave, and art hall. Come underground and enjoy a magical and sensory total experience with world-class art. When the cold and humid climate of Cisternerne envelops you, you don’t just look at the art – you are completely surrounded by it. The old water reservoir is dimly lit, and the atmosphere fascinates and enchants both children and adults.
International Artists
Every year, Cisternerne invites an internationally renowned artist to create an exhibition specifically for the underground spaces of Cisternerne – an exhibition that awakens all senses and interacts with Cisternerne’s unique architecture, climate, atmosphere, and history.

The ticket portal is new, and we are working on including all Danish museums. Right now, you can purchase tickets for the museums you see here, but we hope that in the future, you’ll be able to buy tickets for even more museums.
