Slavernes København is a dramatized, historical audio narration that takes you on a walk from Nyhavn and into the area around Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen.
From Copenhagen to Ghana to the New World
Along the way, you’ll be introduced to remarkable Copenhagen buildings and sculptures that trace blood-red threads directly back to Denmark’s time as a slave-trading nation.
You will also be taken to Ghana in the year 1802. Here, you will experience up close how the 14-year-old Kwame is kidnapped by slave hunters. You will follow his harrowing journey from the African coast across the merciless Atlantic Ocean to a new life in the New World.

Useeum’s podwalks are engaging and often dramatized audio stories that bring the area’s history to life.
Once you have completed your purchase, you will receive an email (check your spam filter, if necessary). The email will contain both a link and a QR code.
If you are reading the email on your computer, you should scan the QR code with your phone.
If you are reading the email on your phone, you should click on the link.
After this, you will be directed to the Useeum app and gain access to Slavernes København.
