Roskilde Museum

Roskilde Museum has been the city’s museum since 1929, located in the heart of the city, right on the Culture Street and steps away from Roskilde Cathedral. The museum tells the city’s history through exhibitions on Antiquity and the Middle Ages, as well as rotating special exhibitions that delve into various themes and events. Roskilde Museum is housed in two of the city’s prominent, protected historical buildings: The Sugar House, built in 1761 for sugar production – later serving as the city’s fire station from 1925. Liebes Gård was built by a merchant around 1800 and named after the Liebe family, who lived here until 1900.

Visit the museum’s exhibitions and enjoy lunch in the lovely café, with outdoor seating in the cozy city center.

Here you’ll find a wealth of great stories in the form of guides, podwalks, and treasure hunts for a variety of museums, visitor centers, castles, nature parks, and the like.

Why can't I purchase tickets for all museums through Useeum?

The ticket portal is new, and we are working on including all Danish museums. Right now, you can purchase tickets for the museums you see here, but we hope that in the future, you’ll be able to buy tickets for even more museums.

How do I show my tickets upon arrival?

Your tickets have been sent to your email and consist of a QR code. Show this QR code to the staff upon arrival, and they will scan and redeem your tickets.

You can display the email with the QR code directly from your mobile or print it out.

What should I do if I've lost my tickets?

Your tickets have been sent to your email. Remember to check your spam folder.

If you’re unable to find it, please send us an email, and we’ll resend the ticket to your email.
