En stille tragedie
En stille tragedie is a dramatic audio story that closely examines one of the biggest maritime tragedies in Danish history. This audio drama by Teatret Møllen can be experienced at home or on location in Haderslev and by Haderslev Dam, where the terrible event unfolded in 1959. A tragedy that claimed the lives of 59 people— children and adults alike.
The story follows the elderly Carl, who is about to meet someone special he hasn’t seen in over 50 years. He must face something he has feared ever since the catastrophe at Haderslev Dam altered his life and the lives of many others. As Carl walks through Haderslev, memories flood back, and we relive that fateful summer day with him.
Dedicated to the victims of the Dam Catastrophe of 1959.
The audio drama is available in two versions: one that should be listened to at the site of the tragedy, Haderslev Dam, and another that can be enjoyed from home or wherever you choose.
