The story Blanke Hans unfolds at the Wadden Sea. We meet Charlotte, who has returned to the Wadden Sea after many years. Her memories of a beloved grandfather and life on the edge resurface – between ebb and flow, mudflat and marsh, and between life and death.
Charlotte takes the listener on a journey back to childhood and into the unique nature and culture of the Wadden Sea, where humans have persisted for centuries despite the constant threat of storm surges. As a marshland farmer, Charlotte’s grandfather had a deep understanding of nature and its whims, and during their many walks in the landscape, Charlotte developed a close connection to the area. However, Charlotte also remembers how they disagreed even then on whether nature should simply conform to our culture.
Blanke Hans is both a touching reunion with the Wadden Sea and a narrative that points to the current climate debate and future challenges. Join the journey that Charlotte used to take with her grandfather and experience the Wadden Sea in a whole new way.

A podwalk is an audio storytelling experience that takes you on a walk through a specific area.
Useeum’s podwalks are exciting and often dramatized audio that bring the area’s history to life.
Once you have completed your purchase, you will receive an email (please check your spam filter). In the email, you will find both a link and a QR code.
If you are reading the email on your computer, you should scan the QR code with your phone.
If you are reading the email on your phone, simply click the link.
Afterwards, you will be redirected to the Useeum app and gain access to Blanke Hans.

Here on the site, you can both find your next museum experience and purchase your tickets. Make your next museum visit exciting with the Useeum app at hand. Here you’ll find a wealth of great stories in the form of guides, podwalks, and treasure hunts for a variety of museums, visitor centers, castles, nature parks, and the like.
The ticket portal is new, and we are working on including all Danish museums. Right now, you can purchase tickets for the museums you see here, but we hope that in the future, you’ll be able to buy tickets for even more museums.
